Dear Lord,

I don't totally understand why you would choose me to go to Guatemala.  I have no midwifery experience, only some spanish knowledge and little knowledge of the Bible.

I don't know why you want me to volunteer the whole summer, rather then making money.

I don't get why you want me to live another 4 months away from home, when I already miss it so much.

I am not sure why you want me to go to an extremly humid jungle where there is malaria and unsafe drinking water.

I can't comprehend why you want an insignificant person, such as myself, to carry out your work.

But what I do know is that if you are for me, no one can be against me (Romans 8:31).  That you hold my right hand (Isaiah 41:13).  That I need to trust in you with all my heart (Proverbs 3:5).  And that if I even had a small amount of faith, mountains could move (Matthew 17:20).

Lots of Love,
-Emma <3
